Yeah I don't agree on this one. If anything, make the day AFTER election day a holiday so in the states where people stay up and caucus can participate. I think it would change the schematics a lot. Most people that vote Republican get off work, rush out and vote, and go home and get ready for work. Meanwhile, the lefties are hanging out waiting to steal votes because they ain't going to work the next day.

USPS has the option to deliver any day of the week.

in places that do not have a mail-in option. I did 12 hour
shifts and rarely was there anyone who could stand by for me
to go to the polls.

Here we have early voting plus mail in so there is no excuse for not being able to vote.

It would have been difficult to sue the U.S. Government as a federal employee.
I always voted by mail.

Yet my point remains...very FEW have his proposals made any sense at all. This does

The federal government cannot force business to close, even Best Buy. Thus the purpose would end up being another school, bank, and fed holiday-much like Veteran's Day.

If people had the option to get off to the polls rather than mail-in,
why not give it a shot?

You'll never see me agree with Obama on much...but this one
kind of needs a bit of consideration. I do not know the voting
permissions and / or laws in all 50 states. Thus, I put the
suggestion on the table.

Leave the primaries up to the states...

10th Amendment: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution,
nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
