always thought this fucker was over rated, he's in Bozo's pants

Millionaire rock star Bruce Springsteen deliberately chose to ‘hurt economically’ fans, workers and small businesses by his last minute cancellation of a concert in Greensboro, North Carolina set for Sunday in protest of a state law known as HB2 that bans men from using women’s bathrooms. Springsteen cancelled the date Friday afternoon, just two days before the April 10 show which would have featured the complete playing of his 1980 album, The River.

I never saw the thrill in him.

His voice sucks...all he does is shout with not a bit of quality in it.....
Always gravelly and off key. Sounds more like a garage band singer
than a real talent.

For the Era, Neil Diamond was/is much better.

I like Dancing in the Dark. You can sell the rest to someone else. You don't get to pick n choose what gets played in Okinawan bars and their idea of pop culture was/is weird. I don't like but one Billy Joel song either.

Thanks for the Neil Diamond reference you goof. Now instead of having "Love Me Tender" stuck in my head it's "Sweet Caroline". You should be shot.:slap:

I agree. I've never liked him. He had a good fiddle player in the 80s is all I really remember about him. And my grandmother would totally agree with the yelling crap. She couldn't stand Patty Loveless for the same reason. SHe doesn't sing ... she yells. I had never even considered it previous to that.

Now Reba? THAT is my girl. Anyone has a problem with her gets negged twice a week for eternity.

I was never a Bruce fan, but always kinda listened and enjoyed the majority of his music. Being in NJ it was kind of hard not to, since every station bombarded you with his music. He's always been a democrat, along with Bon Jovi. I recall reading way back when about both of them hosting fundraisers and what not. Whatever, just don't bring it to the stage or try and preach - but they have done that.

He is not proving a damn thing by doing this, and as someone else stated, he is only harming the fans. And those fans that are SOL aren't going to suddenly follow his stances because he bailed on shows in their area.

Never have been a fan of Bruce, but if I had been...and was one of the fans he stood up, I would sure as hell let him know that his stunt made me an "ex fan" of his and never again. someone mention Bryan Adams?? he just told Mississippi to shove it

WASHINGTON — (CNN) Bryan Adams has canceled a concert scheduled for April 14 in Mississippi to protest a new state law that critics describe as discriminatory.
“I cannot in good conscience perform in a state where certain people are being denied their civil rights due to their sexual orientation,” the Canadian rocker wrote on Instagram.
Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant last week signed a controversial “religious freedom” bill that critics and business interests in the state say is discriminatory against gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people.
Bryant said he signed the bill into law “to protect sincerely held religious beliefs and moral convictions of individuals, organizations and private associations from discriminatory action by state government.”
Adams said he hopes that Mississippi “will right itself,” and said he looks forward to the day when he “can come back and perform for all of my many fans.”
Mississippi’s law is part of a wave of legislation seen as “anti gay” that has prompted corporations and individuals to use their economic muscle in protest.
Bruce Springsteen, for example, has canceled a show in North Carolina to stand in “solidarity” with those protesting a similar law in that state.

Supporters of the law said that predators would still be prosecuted if they took advantage of the rule, while opponents cited sexual assault as a reason the ruling was dangerous for women in particular.

“We’re not here saying that the transgendered community are predators,” a woman who was a victim of sexual assault told KING-5 TV, “We will never say that because we don’t believe that. What we do believe is that this code is so poorly written that predators will abuse. We know it because we have lived it.”

I see it rather as commenting. Springsteen has been irrelevant since the 80s. It's not like we can jump through the computer and sing and dance. HE is the one that opened his flap and the MSM has made him out to be more important than he is in my world.

So MY quote would be: "if you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen". :)

The picture that ESPN used to fire Curt Schilling

So ESPN doesn't have enough backbone to let Curt Shilling repost a joke with a lot of truth in it? People have been using the anatomically correct rest room for centuries, and now its insensitive to want it to stay that way? Drop dead, ESPN.

is that you John Wayne ?? its a fact predators are going to take advantage here. and have. locally here some young guy made a piss poor attempt to dress as a woman to gain access to their bathrooms and was nailed. had a camera and said he wanted naked photos to sell to a porn site for bucks. free enterprise or restriction of trade ???

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/wa-man-women-bathroom-test-transgender-ruling-article-1.2535150

I missed this one. NOTHING anyone does surprises me anymore. It might make me shake my head but that's about it. How f-ing hard up do you have to be to dress like a woman to sneak into the woman's room? Seriously.

Can't go to a bar and find a pick up? Buy a magazine. WTF?

I don't think you have to even bother to dress up.

Not to mention any names, but I know a certain corporal that got held by his ankles by his Gunny and a Sgt over the fantail. They'd probably hang you on a cross for that sh*t nowadays. But it was funny as Hell. :laugh2:

these people have a unnatural need to feel relevant...singers and actors need to stick to what they do best. When it come to politics their voice shouldn't be any louder than the rest of us.

No kidding. I came to hear you sing or watch your movie. I don't want to hear your Hollyweird politics. There are quite a few people I won't watch just because they're dorks. Where I'm from, Dixie Chicks top the list. They all from south central Texas. Ever since Natalie Main opened her mouth about Bush they've basically been blackballed from the radio.

You're a country music artist from Texas and your audience is Southern, conservative rednecks and you go dissing the President in a foreign country? Brilliant strategy.
