Got some news for ya', Jimbob -- and don't start shooting the messenger --
I watched the interviews with both Cruz and Trump last night. Yes, I was bored as f*ck. Cruz hit a home run and Trump was an epic fail. He never says anything and sounds like a reality tv show host. And someone needs to get the word "wonderful" out of his vocabulary. Talk about over-using a word. Geez.
He's not prepared to be President is all I can say.

Meanwhile politicians make proclamations and Donald J Trump DOES :salute:
http://madworldnews.com/trump-nyc-veterans-90s/
However, it seems that just by delving into the billionaire’s past, his true feelings about veterans becomes astoundingly clear (http://www.ijreview.com/2016/01/527026-turns-out-trump-may-have-done-more-to-help-veterans-causes-than-previously-thought/). Take the 50th anniversary New York Veterans’ Day parade that took place in 1995 for example and you can see how Trump really feels about our veterans.
According to reports, the 2016 presidential frontrunner became involved in the entire ordeal after learning that the parade had just $2 (http://www.nytimes.com/1995/11/10/nyregion/veterans-day-parade-tries-for-a-comeback.html) in their bank account and were at risk of not having the parade at all. Trump immediately put forward (http://www.upi.com/Archives/1995/11/11/More-than-500000-watch-Nations-Parade/4721816066000/)$200,000 of his own money and raised another $300,000 to fund the event.
And then there is this

If he was building a casino I'd be fine with him. In the meantime, there is NO "does" if you don't have a clue what to do.

He's no more qualified to be President than Obama.

Last time folks worried about how someone sounded and thought he was such a great orator - we got Barack Obama voted in as president. I know many disagree, and that's cool with me, but I couldn't care less if that's what he sounds like. I'm hoping to see things getting done, not getting someone speaking great and promising things - and leaving us with jack shit as we've gotten for the past 30 years, more or less.

What exactly disqualifies Mr Trump?
The Constitution imposes three eligibility requirements on the Presidency—based on the officeholder's age, residency, and citizenship—that must be satisfied at the time of taking office. By virtue of the Twelfth Amendment, the qualifications for Vice President are the same. The Framers established these qualifications in order to increase the chances of electing a person of patriotism, judgment, and civic virtue.

IMO, Trump qualifies just fine, he just doesn't fit the role we are used to - which is usually career politicians. And others disqualify him because he simply doesn't fit the mold many expect. But I think he's MUCH more qualified than Obama, that who did WHAT exactly before getting elected? Community organizer? Voting present? Absolutely no comparison in my mind.

His leadership skills are lacking, IMO. I wouldn't follow him. I barely made it through the Clinton Administration without blowing a gasket. I disqualify him for THAT reason, not because he doesn't fit a mold. Several of the candidates I liked didn't fit a mold.
He's inexperienced and doesn't know when to shut his mouth, for one thing. His judgment is questionable in that regard and on several topics. Not to mention as I said almost a year ago, he's alienated too many people. He can't get enough votes to win. I want to win.

There's qualified to be President, then there's qualified to be a COMPETENT President.

I'm not questioning his competency. I'm questioning his experience and an ever more obvious inability to adjust. I've worked in both the military and in civilian construction. There's a HUGE difference in how you lead people between the two. IMO, he's out of his realm.
I always had trouble with my employers because they like to bluster about and hold that check over your head and they couldn't do that with me. Trump can't storm troop the government like he could subcontractors as a developer. They'll just flip him off. He can't threaten their checks. Firing a government employee takes almost an act of Congress and it takes almost as long to document the information to get them fired as a term in office. So he doesn't have the leverage he is used to. And developers can't lead ants to a picnic. They're good businessmen and know how to work in THEIR world. The bottom line with them is money is the threat.
The Republicans want nothing to do with him and will support him about as well as the Dems did Jimmy Carter.
And unless he's got a rabbit in his hat, he can't win the GE. The best we can hope for is Shrillery gets indicted. Best chance we got.
I have to agree with Gunny ( in a way ) Trump may be no more deserving than Obama was, but we got 8 years of him shoved down our throat, Cruz on the other hand is a politician with not much going for him IMO, So Trump has little to no experience as our fearless leader the jr. Senator/community activist did. Difference is, I believe Trump has the Country's best interest in mind ( and yes his wealth's best interest as well ) Trump may not be a politician but then again either was Obama ( a jr. senator is hardly a seasoned politician ) I mean Hillary is a seasoned politician who has more scandals than Carter has pills surrounding her name, and a indictment looming over her as well, Cruz, well he is just a seasoned liar, his BS is easy to see through. Guess what I am saying is how much worse are ya gonna do by putting Trump (who we know can run a business, save the 3 or 4 bankruptcies BS, the guy has how many businesses in the fire and 3 went belly up, so he used the American laws to get out of it, its call business) So yea I am going to pick the one that isn't a seasoned liar, the one that seems to want to do the most for the country and as for his inexperience, in certain areas yes he has them, in others no one in Washington has as much as he does, So although I agree he isn't a politician I for one think maybe it is time to do away with these political correct politicians and put some one in that actually has been somewhere other than the senate floor, someone that can make money, someone that will have one last chance to make America great again.

That sums up my opinion completely when making comparisons.

Cleaning house means cleaning house though. The drones in this country couldn't hang. When you clean house you do the floors as well as the ceiling. Replacing just the ceiling fan ain't going to clean your house.

Again I agree BUT we have to start somewhere, and hell Trump may not be the guy that gets it done but maybe just maybe he gets the countries eyes opened and it starts to head in the right direction. (yup pipe dream I know, but I see it as the only chance)
