Get a really inexpensive Kodak. The quality is awesome. My dad is a Real Estate Broker In Reno and Carson City and uses it to take professional grade photos from a camera that was less then 200 for the camera and printer dock which is a great feature. I can get you more information if you want.
Also when are you going to come see uss guys here in Nevada? Hot August Nights is coming up and you would really like that.

I'm heading out on Aug, 2nd and going to Liberty, Missouri...where my sis lives...I'm going out for six weeks, to check out things....thinking of moving..
The winters up here.......are starting to get to me...
Not so much the cold(of course those 50 below zero wks, don't help).........But,the 3 months of darkness is what gets to me..
No plans for coming to Nevada...in near future...
But, if I do.....I'll be sure to contact you and Pale....:cheers2:

I would suggest you do exactly the opposite of what NM has posted here. I have family with Kodak digital point and shoot cameras. They are some of the worst cameras when it comes to image quality. Stick with Canon or Nikon if you want a good camera. The point and shoot cameras in these brands won't cost you any more, and they'll deliver a far better image.
In short: Run far, far away from Kodak digital cameras. ;)

Seriously- good work! Back when I lived in Upstate NY we grew all our own veggies, and canned for the winter. I had 40 tomato plants.
Just don't have the time for that, plus the soil here sucks.

Which model are you shooting with? FZ8?

Which model are you shooting with? FZ8? DMC-TZ1, bought at Costco for $230, as I recall. 6MP with some shake-proof software thingy that gives it a net 5MP. Has a 10x Leica lens that folds back in on itself, so it's small enough to put in a coat pocket, which is what I need for taking action shots of my kids and their teams.
It's only drawback for me is that it has no viewfinder. It makes it very difficult to see in bright light conditions with my crappy old eyes.
That particular picture was shot in "burst mode" that takes 3 pics in one second. This is pretty handy for fast action shots.

If that doesn't suit you, then there's a shit load of super high end places to go here too.:cheers2:

Nice work, Stpehanie. You environmentalist, you! :laugh2:
Pale, that biker bar tour sounds like it would be quite an experience for a East coast city girl like me!
