That is beautiful work. The guys on my last ship, where I retired, made my Retirement shadowbox out of wood they scrounged from our last port in the Panama Canal zone. My wife calls it my bragging chest. I'll take a photo tomorrow, and post it here.
Anything made by hand is literally ART WORK.

Here's my shadowbox. The guys had the right tools to build it. Nice surprise for me then as well.
