This is the third and final poem in a 3 part collaboration series (with SilentOne) of a father giving advice to his son.
First two, already posted at my home poetry site. I've long delayed finishing this one due to being sidetracked by the poetry challenges I chose to take up there at my home poetry site.
A Man Of Your Own , Part Three
My son, your wedding approaches now so fast
we proudly share in your love and coming joys
Please, be kind to her always and make it last
and gift us several little girls and boys!
Never forget your dear father's sage advice,
hold ever so deeply faithful Christian views.
Never sacrifice honor at any price,
eternally give her the love she is due!
As life brings its trials and great tribulations
look to heaven when in dark desperate straits.
There gifted to us are true celebrations,
often with the shields warding off evil fates.
As your father, you have now made me proud,
with family you are now about to start.
In life celebrate and sing out to her loud,
soon you will be joined with another dear heart!
Know this, love will forever cleave me to you.
As father my soul is part of your spirit,
I pray blessings on all you may ever do.
Call for help, I 'll come when I hear it.

Note- My friend, answer this , as our closing of this three poem series.
I did mine in eleven syllable verse, not required that you do eleven but maybe consider
doing in ten, eleven or even twelve syllable verses for some type of uniformity.
However, I have no problem if you want to answer in mix syllable count.
