I hope no one here is contributing to this study.
[S]omeone created a map that displays which part of America has the largest potty mouth. The brighter the red, the more the region swears.
Daniel Huffman collected over 1.5 million tweets for one month in 2010 (from March to April), and visually mapped out which regions have foul mouths.
Obviously it’s not a scientific study, so it can’t be taken too seriously. It doesn’t take into account populations that generally don’t use Twitter, and maybe it not a coincidence that the most populous areas have the most profanity among them?
The brighter the red, the more the region says bad words.
