Again, a dog will always return to his own vomit.

During Wednesday’s townhall, a questioner asked Rubio about race relations in the United States. Although the voter’s question made no mention whatsoever of law enforcement or the police, Rubio was quick to use it as an opportunity to question the racial attitudes of American police.

As the article states (from an unimpeachable source - Breitbart), he was not asked about law enforcement. Rather he decided to take the opportunity to attack law enforcement as being racist.

Rubio is not what he seems to be, folks.

Here is a great interview with former Marine and ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) officer, Chris Crane. Damning. The interview shows Rubio as either a supporter of his Gang of Eight immigration bill, unaware of the bill he was promoting, or weak.

BNN: In your letter, you specifically protested that the bill would legalize gang members. As an ICE officer, how do you feel that this provision was left in the bill?

CRANE: It disgusts me. Violent street gangs were literally able to lobby Sen. Rubio and the Gang of Eight more effectively than law enforcement, they had more influence on the bill than we did. Gangs were able to get provisions in the law to protect themselves. It’s absolutely insane. What on earth are our lawmakers thinking? I think it’s this type of utterly stupid lawmaking that has caused most Americans to lose faith in Congress.
BNN: Sen. Rubio was on television and radio constantly promoting his bill, which was backed by powerful special interests. What did you learn about Sen. Rubio’s character during that time?
CRANE: In my opinion, Sen. Rubio absolutely knowingly mislead the American people regarding the bill. He was not telling the American public the truth about what that bill contained. Every American will have to determine on their own what that says about his character, but for me I don’t think I’ll ever be able to trust him again.

Look at the wienies he worked with on crafting the bill:

This is an American hero, former Marine and ICE agent Chris Crane:

http://www.debatepolicy.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=8449&stc=1

After his respectful testimony before Rubio and his Gang of Eight, Crane was removed by police.

As I was escorted out by police, some within the amnesty groups applauded, laughed at me, and made hateful remarks. Once police escorted me outside of the main room, police informed me that I was not free to go and that I was to be taken somewhere for questioning.

As a law enforcement officer I knew that their actions met the legal standard for an arrest. At that point I demanded to know the charges against me and why I was being arrested. Television cameras, reporters and microphones came swooping in, and as they did the Senate staffer scurried away like a cockroach, leaving the Capitol Hill police on their own. I was allowed to leave the area, but I think it was only because the police were afraid to handcuff me with reporters filming them.

Rubio receives $1 million dollars from Oracle's Larry Ellison.

Republican presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio’s latest billionaire backer, Larry Ellison, is the CEO of Oracle, a software giant demanding Congress dramatically increase the flow of foreign workers into the United States.

Oracle lobbied heavily for the failed 2013 immigration overhaul sponsored by Rubio, which would have significantly increased the number of immigrants and foreign workers allowed into the country, and provided a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants.

I could not disagree more with this whole "attack Rubio because of the Gang of Eight immigration attempt" argument.

As I've said before, we need to secure our border BEFORE was even discuss the issue of what to do about illegal immigrants that are already in the country. Almost everyone agrees that we should secure our southern border, but every time someone brings up "Gang of Eight" and path to citizenship, it only serves to delay securing the border. If we'd focused on securing the border 20 years ago, then the border would be secure and there would only be about half as many immigrants that we'd be even talking about for path to citizenship.

If people keep bringing up this Gang of Eight argument, then it will only keep everyone arguing, doing nothing, and not securing the border. It is a bad argument.

Larry Ellison wants H1B workers, as in people with hard-to-find skills (usually tech skills) that can get temporary visas to come into the country and work IT jobs. Not to be confused with the issue of people illegally crossing our border with Mexico.

Of course, the H1B limit is also a potential problem, its just not the problem that is being discussed when the debates talk about immigration.

Rubio is not what he seems to be, folks.

Nobody is questioning the source but to automatically grant unimpeachable status to a story entirely because of where it came from is intellectually weak. It is not a stretch to discuss law enforcement when asked about race relations in this country if you have been paying any attention to what has been going on for the past year plus. Besides there is more to his response than just what you quoted and you didn't even include what Rubio said.

During Wednesday’s townhall, a questioner asked Rubio about race relations in the United States. Although the voter’s question made no mention whatsoever of law enforcement or the police, Rubio was quick to use it as an opportunity to question the racial attitudes of American police. Rubio then proceeded to cite accounts of police targeting minorities. “You talk about race relations, it’s a difficult issue in this country,” Rubio said, “And I know a lot if it is centered around law enforcement and police departments.” Rubio explained that when a young black male is repeatedly targeted by American police officers “for no reason, what is he supposed to think?”

It looks like he is intelligent enough to discuss issues rather than parroting a knee-jerk response I'm sure you would have appreciated more. He also didn't attack law enforcement as racist. Breitbart may be a fine website but it looks like Julia Hahn is not exactly an unbiased source when it comest to Rubio.

And Rubio is exactly what he seems. A conservative running for POTUS who doesn't line up entirely with your particular viewpoint. A point in his favor IMO.

Not necessarily ! Does it occur to you that reputable news disseminators may check out the material they have, before broadcasting it ? Or do you simply prefer that Conservative sources be distrusted, FJ ?

It is not a stretch to discuss law enforcement when asked about race relations in this country if you have been paying any attention to what has been going on for the past year plus.

Former Marine, ICE agent, and American hero Chris Crane calls out Rubio. I wonder why Rubio wants to besmirch people who have defended this country against foreign invaders? Maybe Rubio thinks this nation would be better if we had more of his type here. Inquiring minds want to know.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Council President Chris Crane is issuing a challenge to Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) following Rubio’s attack on the officer. In an email to Rubio’s campaign — an exclusive copy of which is being provided to Breitbart News — Crane challenges Rubio to meet so that ICE Officer Crane can present Rubio with his badge and his credentials.

Crane represents America’s ICE officers and is an ICE officer himself.

“You recently lied to the American public on FOX news regarding my current status and career as both an ICE Agent and Officer,” Crane writes in his email to Rubio. “I challenge you to make yourself available, as a United States Senator and Presidential Candidate, so that I may present my badge and credentials to you as proof that your comments on FOX news are false.”

Some good comments from the link (http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2016/02/oh-my-rubio-robot-short-circuits-repeats-himself-8-times-on-oreilly/).

"What the American people are willing to support?" Hey Marco, you're supposed to tell US what YOU support, and then we decide if we want to vote for you.

Holy crap, Marco. If there's a clearer way to tell us you'll blow with the wind, rather than have any convictions of your own, I don't know what it is. Which is worse: having no convictions, or concealing them from voters? Neither of those is reassuring.

" It depends on what the American people will support."
Translation: " If elected, I'll have my amnesty buddies at La Raza manufacture a few poorly worded push polls that claim a majority of American's support wide open borders and full amnesty. Then I'll get up there and do my slippery little shuck and jive and say that American's now support full amnesty and open borders, so we don't need to secure the border or do anything else but grant full citizenship."

Here is the litmus test. The answer determines the long term fate of our nation.
Does the candidate favor or propose allowing some illegals to remain in place for the purpose of gaining legal status through fines, penalties, taxes instead of deporting them and requiring them to go to the end of the line and apply for entry legally?
YES or NO? It really is that simple.
