I daresay she'll be heard from again ...

Still, I for one take heart from this. It appears that one of the more liberal Republican candidates has been effectively 'weeded out'. She's a believer in climate change (Al Gore would be pleased) .. and she's weaker than some on defence issues .. when, it seems to me, that the US has particular need for a very STRONG candidate in this area.

Build smart, not necessarily big. Money is often better spent on issues other than defense. We should cut back on troops stationed abroad and focus on quality of our troops instead of quantity.

I agree that money spent on the US military needs to be efficiently allocated, ensuring the most effective use of funding. That said ... I regard her stance, as quoted above, as borderline irresponsible. Quality matters, but I for one want to see your military grow in size, too.
