Anyone else nauseated when Candidates shamelessly evoke Christ?

I wasn't impressed with that hour long speech. I kept praying for a commercial break so I could have a smoke and he wouldn't just STFU.

In fairness, I saw Trump do the same last week. While it bugs me when they all do it, it doesn't bug me in a way, as I know they all do it.

I didn't hate anything in Christianity and Gods I am against one because he do nothing against eating through. These happening me when once human eating my food from distance I bee hungry and I will eat more food after him silence after dinear and lunch 12.00 on day time and 17.00 in evening. Not because of their beliefs, but because it was pandering to the voter base there. If they do the same outside of the Bible Belt, I'll be very surprised.

I don't mind if the sentiments are sincere. For some it's part of "telling it like it is" .
It bothers me when people erase faith from the conversation as if it's a non issue or of zero influence.

As i said if the comments are sincere i'm fine with it, but in politics deciphering the sincerity of candidates is a full-time job.

I'm not judging Trump for playing the game. My reason is totally personal. I don't like being equated to a stump post fire and brimstone preacher. We used to be CHristians. Now we're "evangelicals"? Evangelicals in my day set up a tent and told you why all you are going to Hell on the fast track if you didn't stop on a dime and repent.

I found that insulting, as I mentioned someone before, I think Cruz pushed it a bit too far. He talked WAY too long, and I though he was pandering. What I don't get is why everyone acts like he won the presidency. there're 49 other states and a whole lot of them aren't country redneck Christians. Hell on Watters World half the people he talked to in NYC didn't even know what Hillary's in trouble for.

I have no problem with people of faith expressing such. If he's using it as a toll to win one state I'd say he's got a tough row to hoe.

What scares me isn't some guy thumping on a bible. What DOES scare me is that half the Dems will vote for a criminal and the other half will vote for a commie who thinks it's just quite fine to take the money out your pocket you earned and put it theirs.

Of course they weed them out. Just the fact those people are allowed to talk and vote scares me. I don't care if there's just one of them. You're talking about people that will 50 percent vote for a criminal and the other 50 for a communist.

Big respect for Cruz on that. And it paid off - even though it was economically against their interests, the Iowans still supported him.

I hope the others took careful note of that, it's important.

The GOP base isn't about all the 'free' money someone can give them, there's a much bigger picture involved.

The only candidate I feel certain is a born-again Christian is Dr. Carson.

But I will not make any assumptions either way about the others. If they publicly profess faith in Jesus Christ, I think that's fantastic. If it's some kind of scam intended to get votes, that is between them and God.

I look at it this way .... I'm a Christian. I was raised in the Baptist church. My grandfather was a deacon, the superintendent of sunday school, in the choir and we went to church 3 times a week. I don't consider my self evangelical. It's just another label and it meant you were a whacko when I was coming up.

If anyone wishes to discuss, Christ, I got a PM box. I'm not a preacher. I can tell you what I believe and hook you up with people that know way more than I do. What I don't do is force my beliefs on others. If you think it bothers me that a God-fearing man is running for Prez, think again. Just remember all the whining we've had to listen to from the left since Reagan.

Abeey mentioned this in another thread about likes and dislikes so I'll touch on it,. I don't like blasphemy. Using the Lord's name in vain to gain a political office is just that to me. I think both Cruz and Trump went over the line pandering and its' going to cost Cruz more than it will Trump. While everyone's cheering for Cruz, he doesn't have the wider appeal Trump does. And trust me, I'm voting for Cruz so that's not a question.

This is the dumbest election since the 70s.
