How to Get Results? Results will be available online throughout the evening with the Des Moines Register devoting a special section of its website to the caucus available here (http://www.desmoinesregister.com/iowa-caucuses/). Major television networks will be covering the event live. This year for the first time Democratic party precinct chairs will report their local results through a mobile application (http://iowademocrats.org/about-iowa-caucuses/).

Latest poll has Sanders at +3, Trump at +7.

I can't recall ever being this interested in the first primary.

Same!

I don't think there was ever this much interest in a primary... and having such a large GOP field just adds that many more wildcards to the deck.

Hopefully a few will drop out after Iowa and make this a little more conventional.

I don't see the Trump / Cruz feud dying down anytime soon - the respective camps are at each others throats in comment sections all over the Interwebs. Things are getting awfully vicious out there. I'm all for some heat, but we have to bring this all together after the dust settles.

By the way, the Iowa results mean a lot more to Hillary than they do to Trump. Historically, the Iowa caucus results reliably predict the eventual Dem nominee, but rarely predict the Republican nominee.
