So my family and I are watching the Dog Whisperer last night and they are running several episodes. One of them had to do with the HUGE problem of stray homeless dogs in Mexico. The stuff I saw bothered me so bad,I had to leave the room for a minute. Dogs raoming the streets that were sick and pregnant. No one cared. Then, Caesar went to a "shelter" (for lack of a better word) in Mexico. It was atrocious.
They had several, maybe 20-30 dogs in a cement type cage with the front fenced in. There were feces everywhere, the dogs were sick, fighting, some of them had little fur because of being eaten alive by flies. It was a horrible sight.
There was a lady there from the U.S. who came to Mexico weekly to save 5 dogs at a time and take them back to the U.S. I would like to look into doing something. I've often thought aabout fostering dogs in my home, but we have two pretty good size dogs now,and not the biggest of back yards. I guess that shouldn't stop me.
Just wondering if anyone else was aware of the atrocities.
