Does anyone know if different cultures have different Santas?

Do black people tell their little ones that Santa is black?

Do Arabs tell their little ones that Santa is an Arab?

Well....

As far as I recall, most Arabs - Muslims - do not believe in Santa.

And I have seen Blacks shown as a Santa.

As far as I recall, most Arabs - Muslims - do not believe in Santa.

And I have seen Blacks shown as a Santa.

Santa - Saint Nicholas - began way back in Europe.

Santa can be all things to all people. I have seen Santa as white, black and Latino.


Blacks think Jesus was black so they probably think Santa is black.

Since no photos or physical descriptions are known to exist, we don't know what race that Jesus was. The Bible says Jesus was Hebrew, which means he likely had olive-colored skin (not white as often depicted in illustrations). Though there were known to be black Hebrews.
