I just made what I think are the best navy beans ever! I took part of a recipe from here (http://allrecipes.com/recipe/12971/navy-bean-soup-i/)
One pound navy beans
one bay leaf
one-half teaspoon ground black pepper
one teaspoon salt
one teaspoon parsley flakes
two teaspoons garlic powder
one tablespoon onion powder
two tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
one clove minced garlic
one-half pound chopped country ham
Put in pan and cook until tender. Serve with southern cornbread (not sugary cornbread).
