City people do not realize that deer can put a hurting on you. They view them as Bambi..cute and huggable.
Out here we have Elk, and some of the bulls weigh in at close to 1000 pounds. Yet I have seen
tourists try to get within 10 yards of them for cell phone photos, even though there are signs
saying "Danger. Elk are Wild Animals. Do not approach."
