Everyone lost? I totally disagree - we got rid of the stupid (I will charitably say naive and out of his league) peanut farmer, and ended up with one of the great Presidents. Reagan was a strong leader, worked with Tip O'Neill on the other side of the aisle, got Kadaffi to stop bombing Europe, and probably ended the Cold War.

If Obama was President back then, we'd still have the Cold War (or possibly worse), Kadaffi would still be bombing Europe, a bunch of other groups would also be bombing Europe, and the '80s would have been known for partisanship and Congressional gridlock instead of it starting in 2008. Oh yeah, and the IRS would be currently auditing the taxes of most of the people on this board.
