The terrorist wearing a balaclava tried to ram his car through the fence of the base in Belgium. Luckily the car did not manage to break through the perimeter fence.
The attacker was wearing a balaclava when he tried to ram through the perimeter fence of the base in Flawinne, a suburb of Namur.According to prosecutors, the man has driven away the scene - and no one inside the barracks was hurt.
Lt Gen Claude Van de Voorde has said he cannot confirm reports that there were explosives in the vehicle.
Belgium has remained on high alert since a lone gunman attacked a Jewish museum in Brussels last May, killing four people.
500 people have been known to have traveled to Syria to fight with islamic state.
