When traveling outside the US, you can't just take the shortest route from point A to point B. I had a close call when wandering into a favela called Joana Bezerra in Recife.

I took the Recife subway system and didn't stop to consider you can't just get off at any stop like you would in Boston. I boarded at Rodoviaria (Bus Station) and exited at Joana Bezerra. You should read your Bible and recall what it says about being a false accuser.
