OK I work in Manhattan and see my fair share of odd occurrences. This one was priceless. I was coming home last night, focused on getting to my train at Penn station. As a seasoned commuter, I head directly to the track I expect my train to be on unless I know there is a transit issue. I generally ignore the crowds except to make my way as expeditiously as possible through them. So here comes what appears to be the standard traditional nuclear American family - father, mother, and two children of school age and indeterminate gender. The kicker? All were cosplayers. Look it up. One kid was a zombie of some flavor and the other was an anime character. Mom was a female superhero, might have been Storm. Dad was The Batman! Nice costume rendition too - not real cheesy. Here he is leading his family at a jog through the station calling to them to keep up. So there is one of these assorted street musicians next to the newsstand. He sees this and starts playing.... the old tv Batman theme. Everyone who saw and heard this was going YES!. I applauded and called out to the musician "Nice timing!". Walking with my damned cane, I had no way to get to my camera quickly. Would have been a hoot of a pic.
