The Army finally got rid of the pickle suit, It'd been around since the early '50's and I'm surprised it took this long to get rid of it, I didn't know anyone who liked wearing these. They were uncomfortable and hot.

The green service uniform has finally been laid to rest after 61 years of approved wear, the vast majority of that stretch as the service uniform that defined (http://www.army.mil/article/11814/army-releases-message-announcing-new-service-uniform/) the Army.
As of Oct. 1, the "Green Class As" are no longer permitted for wear.
Too late to effect me but at least they finally did the right thing, now all they have to do is get rid of the berets.
