What does it has in it's pocketses?

I was handling my keys this evening as I was going home and reflecting on the one item I keep with me always. My keyring has my Dad's Navy dogtag. He gave it to me years ago saying it had been lucky for him and would be for me too. I find comfort in touching it and reflect on the courage and love that were the essence of the man's soul. But it got me wondering if others I know carry around something in their pocket or bag or keep in their vehicle that is that kind of talisman or luck piece or memento.

I have so many things of both my Mother and my Da

I have his pocket knife, my Mothers cast iron cookware.

Her bean crocks, his old tools.

All get used.

I have two silver dollars, one Sacajawea and one Susan B. Anthony, from my dad's collection. Got them after he died in '08.


In my wallet I have four two dollar bills paired with sequential serial numbers. Two of the bills have my youngest daughter's name written on them and two of them have my oldest daughter's name written on them. One from each pair respectfully.
