Now that we know what The Guardian in Britain thinks we should do, the next step is to ask a French newspaper what they think.

Let us know what all of the European countries think - and the more socialist, the better!

We're all counting on you. Good luck out there.

Um, really? I've been around guns for a significant portion of my life, including time in the military, and I still don't know anyone who's been shot with a gun. Anyone else?

I'd be pretty freaked out if someone around me got shot, since, as noted, it is not, by any measure, routine.

This is one of those things that the gun control folks tend to just throw out there, like it's a universal truth, and it's not. And let's talk about the military: I've seen the way Marines act when they hear a gun go off, and it's like a light switch flips. It is anything but routine, even for people who spend the most time around guns.

Worse, she's a fat fuck living in NY, preaching for abortion rights and visiting liberal TV heaven. She's also a hack and a horrible writer. She was also a "writer" for talking points and raw story.

I call 'em as I see 'em! :)

Maybe a friend of a friend thing, but that's about it. And sure, too many people do end up getting killed by guns in America, and also by cars, and cigarettes, and alcohol.... But "routine" to be getting shot? Talk about BS rhetoric.

George Carlin used to ask why it was always the fat ugly chicks that were against abortion.

I can tell you that I have 5 handguns, 4 long-rifles, 2 shotguns and a compound bow.

All of which are very well behaved and have shot no one

They sit there and mind their manners. In the case of the first three I take them out of their protective cases every week, unload them, clean them reload them and place them back in their cases.

The bow gets cleaned, the bow string gets waxed and also gets put away

No deaths have occurred to date.

Who needs a gun? Getting your ass kicked for running off at the mouth is a routine part of life. Only coward gang-bangers use guns rather than man up. BKaming the tool that is used is just ignorant.

If you can taunt somebody into attacking you in manner that could legally qualify for self-defense, you can blow their brains out and win.

I'm aware.

How far did she have to go to find someone dumb enough to print it?

Why do I need to do THAT? The last thing I'm going to use is a gun. I know, let's outlaw my fists. I DO punch brick walls with them. Where does it end?

I just wanted to point out how fat and ugly the writer was. She lost all credibility as a "writer" before she wrote her first sentence, she lost it with the title.

"Why getting stabbed is a routine part of Chinese life"
"Why being retarded is a part of California life"
"Why doing cocaine is a part of Miami life"

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, lets just make shit up. I think shitty writing leads to potato chip and bon bon eating.

This has to be one of the best post I have seen in a long time, and yes I am guilty of grabbing the bait at times as well, so yes I am just as guilty.

Guilty.

However, someone who willingly dons a turban and runs around downrange at a sniper school while taunting the shooters deserves what they get.
