I need to find a link, but I heard on the radio today that Scott Walker (going after Hillary, as promised), commented about Hillary griping over the need for public funding for college education.

He said that while he has frozen tuition rates in his state, Hillary goes around charging colleges upwards of $250K to speak.

Oh, isn't that what you call "irony".

I suspect that I could be a big Walker supporter before it's over.

I'm wavering a bit on Carly. As much as I want to prefer her, she espouses some liberal viewpoints.

My top 3 are Carly, Scott and Ben.
It's early days, I like now, in order: Scott, Marco, Carly, Ben

I don't think the last two have experience, though better than Obama. I do think if Carly keeps it up, she'll be VP choice of whomever wins. Ben I think will be offered a cabinet position.

Yes, way too early, but I'll list mine, too. I swear, I'm not copying!

Walker
Rubio
Fiorina*
Cruz

*I still haven't been able to catch the early debate, so her position could change.

Thanks. I've been reluctant to watch it as a video on the computer, but I guess it's that or nothing at this point.

I had recorded it a few days later on Fox, but though the description was of the earlier candidates, it was a replay of the prime time debate.

I heard Carson this morning on Fox and Friends, every time I'm more impressed. He was speaking of poverty and how private individuals, corporations, and community can effectively help and mentor. Something the War on Poverty has failed at, miserably.

I don't know if you're referring to her stance on say, "Paid maternity leave?" I loved her answer. "I favor it, what I don't favor would be a mandate." She would leave those choices to the businesses. Workers as always are free choose where to work or not.

This not only leaves open the obvious incentives of businesses to offer, but provides built in incentives for businesses to offer more, less, or none or a different version altogether. They can make their decisions based upon their own needs and workforce and assets.

Abby, not only that but Bush actually donates to colleges he speaks to. I'm not a Bush fan, but on the other side of your story is that one that I heard about Bush. Again, I'm in NO WAY a Bush fan (any of them) but at least he honors troops and visits them in the hospital....the SOW we have in OUR White House now, can't even lower the flag when one of HIS muSLUM brother cowardly murders our BEST.......unless that SOW is made to lower the flag!!!

Getting back to the point; It is amazing to me (always has been....always will be) how the liberal PUKES always want to spend YOUR money, yet they donate very, Very, VERY little while WE donate "LIBERALLY", lovingly & generously.

Wow, that is great about Jeb. Thanks for the info.

Former President Bush....not JEB. As far as I know, Jeb would only donate to Latino/Hispanic leaning colleges. I like JEB even less than his brother.

Back now...but will need to get to work soon. A biker's bike took out at my drive and instead of him working on it in the direct sun and heat, had him pull up and work on it in the shade. It's a nice Black Honda and if you can't afford a Harley.....you can't beat a Honda (the older ones anyway). Anyway, he's still working on it so maybe he'll have it blowing wind in his face soon. While he worked on it, I was listening to the radio and heard that Alabama is trying to trample on the 2nd Amendment.....just for money!!!! Here in Mississippi, we have and always had a CASTLE LAW where your vehicle is an extension of your home. Sad that Mississippi is soon becoming the ONLY Conservative State in the Union.....or even the South. I say this to remind everyone that this election could be the "make or BREAK" moment and we do NOT need a fake (TRUMP), a weasel (Rubio) or a NUT (PAUL). I'd address the others but I need to cut it short. Walker and Cruz, although not the BEST we could have been given, is our ONLY real hope right now and I'm leaning with Cruz. Still, we need so much better and so much more than what we have to choose from. Sadly, we will probably get a rhino and "lessor of two evils" like we've been forced to vote. I'm sick of it....and it'll be hard to go vote if THEY do that to us again. I'll pay close attention to Mississippi and strive to take care of my own backyard and long for a separation and hope that other neighboring states follow Mississippi's lead on most topics.

As those street scum chanted "Weez ready for war" or "get ready for war". OK....I'm ranting....time to get to work now. ~LAter.

Where I began as a proponent of "States' Rights" in education, I have ended by believing that we will never meet our own expectations of public education unless the federal government is willing to play a consistent, long-term role; unless education truly becomes a matter of national policy, not just a matter of national rhetoric."http://www.flashreport.org/blog0a.php?postID=2010030418364758&post_offsetP=0

Well, you know, I think what the market is coming to grips with is the $700 billion bailout was important, it was necessary, but it wasn't sufficient.

^^^ However, later she said this:

Fiorina said that she was opposed to bailouts and President Obama's economic stimulus package.

http://spectator.org/blog/20965/fiorina-white-men-cant-beat-boxer

...Carly Fiorina said last night that she would support the DREAM Act, an immigration measure that aims to help undocumented students. Her remarks set her apart from more conservative Republican candidates this year who are taking a hard line on immigration.

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/carly-fiorina-supports-dream-act-but-says-shes-against-amnesty/

In late 2008, Fiorina advocated cap-and-trade measures for environmental protection when she spoke at the Republican National Convention that nominated Arizona Sen. John McCain.

^^^But later this:

But since she began running for the Senate, Fiorina has backed away from the topic. In a TV interview during the GOP primary this year, Fiorina said, "I'm not sure," when asked whether climate change was occurring.

Thanks for causing me to review her positions, Sassy. It had been a couple of month since I reviewed her positions and I now think these are mostly insignificant issues (in the big picture) and maybe non-issues as she has recanted previously-held liberal stances. I believe anyone has the right to change her mind over time.

Overall, I think she is a solid candidate for the Republican nomination. I still support her fully.

Thank you for the links Peri. It's good info which might help if my picks are too close and I need to fine tune which way to vote.
