A Trump independent bid for the Presidency isn't as worrisome as some might think.

Notice that 17% of women and 14% of Latinos voted for Perot. If those numbers come in at near zero as well as loyal Republicans not voting for him, Trump would have a CEILING of maybe 7%, about the same as John B. Anderson's vote in 1980. It would also give the GOP an opportunity to win votes with a "Good cop, bad cop" dynamic, actually helping the GOP with women and Latinos.
