Excellent! Personal and on target. Full of the anger and frustration that anyone who's been living in US for the past decade and aware of what the country was before. Points out the elitism of this administration and the repercussions to the military, the poor, the average person in this country.

Sounds rather strange. You are sure that you live in a democratic country. How it may happened that too much depends on the will of one person, whom you keep on blaming all the deadly sins?

It's a complex issue.

Bill Clinton was impeached, and rightfully so, back in the '90s. It turned into a media circus, and everyone soon got tired of hearing about it day after day. When the next election happened, people viewed the Republicans negatively over the impeachment and they lost seats as a result - even though they'd done the right thing by impeaching a dishonest President who had lied under oath.

The Republicans still remember that incident and the fallout, and aren't willing to gamble their political lives over impeachment proceedings.

If they did initiate impeachment proceedings and were successful, then Joe Biden would be President. And he's quite possibly worse than Obama - and not nearly as intelligent. At that point, he would be an incumbent in the 2016 election, and incumbents have almost always enjoyed an advantage in an election cycle with name recognition and experience.

If they did initiate impeachment proceedings and were unsuccessful, then the backlash against the Republicans could very easily cost them the 2016 election.

The reason things have gotten so out of control at this point is that our system of Checks-and-Balances isn't working as it should. The Judiciary and Congress haven't been reigning in Obama's constitutional oversteps and taking him to task for failure to uphold existing laws and the constitution.

Our current government, which was designed to have 3 separate but equal branches, is now being run with a runaway Executive Branch (President) that does what it wants, regardless of whether or not it's legal to do so.

Personally, I think the impeachment proceedings should take place, and damn the possible repercussions. By failing to act against a rogue President, it has created a dangerous precedent and could turn into a slippery slope that destroys the 3 separate-but-equal branches concept.

Anyway, that's a very brief overview of the problem and there's a lot more to it.

When you get to the part where you know what you are talking about, let us know.

We have a "procedure" called the US Constitution that prevents us relying o the will of one person. Obama's repeatedly violated that Constitution and the people in his political party continually turn a blind eye to it. Kind of like in Russia where Putin is just doing his own thing.

Having a majority in the Senate and House of representatives does not give the GOP the power to impeach nor override a Presidential veto. The GOP would need 2/3s majority in both Houses of Congress to just ram something down his throat.

Our current political problems actually stem from Socialism / Communism, of which liberalism is a direct descendant. The counter-culture movement in the 1960s bred radical Anti-American sentiment in the hippie crowd, which still manifests itself today with people such as Gabby that gleefully blame America for any and all problems around the world.
