Even conservative Hispanics will vote for Mrs. Clinton if they believe that Republicans judge them based on where they’re from. This doesn’t mean Republicans need to support open borders, amnesty or sanctuary cities. But the focus in 2016 must be on compassion for those who came to this country seeking a better life. The GOP is about where you’re going, not where you’re from. Being perceived as tough on immigration may cater to certain primary voters. But who cares about winning the Republican nomination if you lose the general election?

Republicans can win if voters feel the GOP is a party for someone like them. That will require updating the party brand much the same way my company did for our restaurants years ago. Otherwise, it’ll be President Hillary Clinton—and Republican Party yard signs will be one step closer to becoming a historical relic, like Pan Am wings and American Motors Gremlins.
Mr. Puzder is the chief executive officer of CKE Restaurants.

After opening in 1960, Hardee’s grew rapidly. By 1990, it was the third largest fast-food restaurant company in the world. But by the late 1990s, it was in trouble. Sales and customer visits had declined and restaurants were closing. People viewed Hardee’s as outdated, out of touch—a place for elderly people.

We embarked on an ad campaign focused on a demographic we call “young hungry guys” that anyone who aspires to be young would find appealing. This yielded positive results beyond expectation, with average annual sales per restaurant increasing more than 70% over the next decade or so.

Unfortunately, the primary thing that makes Demographic A respond to a policitical party's message, is if the party's message is "we're for special entitlements for Demographic A". It is understandable why Demographic A would like this message, but it increasingly seems to be a reason why there is a flaw in the whole concept of democracy.
Sure, the Republican party can respond to, say Latin voters, by saying "we're for open borders with Mexico", or even "we think Latin voters should be given valuable prizes", but isn't this just a disguised way of buying votes? And buying votes means we aren't really a democracy.

ALL THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT THE DEM PARTY HAS BEEN ENGAGED IN HARD AND HEAVY FOR THE LAST 50 YEARS AND IT HAS BROUGHT US TO THIS SAD STATE WE NOW ARE IN.
Dem party strives for mob rule(democracy) yet we are a Representative Republic based upon democratic principles guided by a governing document(Constitution). That Constitution reveals their treason, corruption and need to be brought to justice.
Yet such justice can now only come if we have a civil war(a calamity) as it is too late for any other remedy.
Sad, ain't it?-Tyr

There's a reason so many Republicans are being identified as RINO's. The Republicans have been practicing the Democrat tactics for so long. There really doesn't seem to be any real Difference in either party.

Remember the expression? "FOLLOW THE MONEY". Does anyone honestly doubt it doesn't apply Equally now???
