Well I need to go plant some more flower seeds. Last several times I've done that...

we had a major deluge (figures).

We had nine deluges this last May, in fact (I marked them on my desktop calendar). Haven't had a drop for a week with 90+ temps. I think it's time.

And yeah, most of the flower seeds got washed away.

Maybe I should wash mine! It's not like we didn't get a ton of rain for the past several weeks in Texas, but a little rain every few days is good for the grass and keeps the heat down.

A few years ago I bought a used Ford Ranger truck. The previous owner was a concrete contractor and beat the living hell out of the truck body, but mechanically it was sound. After teaching myself to pull dents and apply both body putty (thanks Youtube!), it needed painting.

I'm not a car guy. Definitely not the type to spend hours washing and waxing a car. Thanks again to Youtube, I explored painting the truck in cammo. The main reason was so I'd never have to wash and/or wax it again. Besides, it looks better muddy.

So, you went high-tech and went with digitalized cammo. Very sophisticated! :coolphotos:I really wanted digital, but most of the Youtube videos were the standard swirl-type except for one on a Jon boat and several by kids painting their paint guns.

Total cost of the job: about $70. $10 worth of 9"x9" plastic stencil sheeting, an X-acto knife, about $50 worth of spray paint. I already had some scrap cardboard and masking tape to attack the cut stencil to for a larger mask.

Thanks! I call it "Texas MARPAT". MARPAT is "Marine Pattern". There's woodland, desert and even arctic MARPATs. I made one, as you've noted, to fit the Texas summer environment; mostly browns and tans with a bit of green and black thrown in.
