The European Union cannot take on their own shoulders the responsibility for the support of the Ukrainian economy, despite the country's ongoing conflict, said the European Commissioner for neighbourhood policy and enlargement negotiations Johannes Hahn.
"We cannot accept a situation where we relentlessly have to Finance some country ", - quotes the words of Johannes Hahn during a speech at the meeting of the Atlantic Council of NATO.
The Commissioner acknowledged that Ukraine is " at war ", but said that the Kiev government is obliged "to resolve the conflict, and influence, To overcome the economic fall," according to the publication.
above the head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that the state will meet all the requirements For accession to the European Union in 2020.
Total debt of Ukraine is determined currently approximately $ 50 billion, in 2014 it amounted to 71% of GDP, and in 2015, according to forecasts of the national Bank of Ukraine, will reach 93% of GDP. One of the largest creditors of Kiev - the Russian Federation, and it has repeatedly stated about the fact that he didn't want to make concessions on repayment of loans. Russia expects Ukraine on 20 June of the next coupon payment on a two-year Eurobonds 2013 at 3 billion dollars. In this case the Russian Federation on the terms of lending has every reason To demand early repayment of the debt, but as long as this does not.

No surprise here. It would seem that what goes unsaid here is that the EU has no desire to interfere with Russia's eventual conquest of the Ukraine. It is now fait accompli...

Very that US and EU desired to organize and lead a coup ant to put illegitimate junta to power which started the Civil war in Ukraine, but lost any interest to support their colony to pay it's depts back.
I will show you how this Civil War started.

To drive a tank across the field - this is only possible in the Ukraine. Great country - the great paradoxes. Thank to tank's crew that wisely sympathetic to the situation and save the lives of innocent people, who defend their right to life. Army was sent by Tyagnibok and other Nazis prompted by the chief of the CIA to kill the people of Ukraine.

..... and here, the propaganda offensive starts in earnest. What's that you accused the CIA of ??
When it comes to funding from the EU ... since when was Ukraine a member of the EU ? (.. OK, so they sing in the Eurovision Song Contest, and even then, not every year ..). Don't they have their hands full already, coping with the 'lame duck' economy of Greece ?
Still, that said ...
http://www.wsj.com/articles/germanys-merkel-dashes-ukraines-eu-membership-hopes-1432199190
Ukraine Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin had said earlier in an interview with German daily Die Welt that he expects the EU’s Eastern Partnership summit with six former Soviet republics to promise a visa waiver to Ukrainians from next year and to give Ukraine the promise to be a potential EU member state.
“Easing visa restrictions is only possible once all preconditions have been met,” Ms. Merkel said.
Pointing to a recent report by the European Commission on Ukraine and Georgia, Ms. Merkel said these countries’ efforts “aren't yet sufficient and a lot still needs to be done” before the commission issues a fresh assessment, due at the end of this year.
Both countries need to strengthen their fight against corruption, improve their economic structure and justice systems, she said.
EU leaders will meet with their counterparts from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldavia and Ukraine at its summit in Riga.
In her speech, Ms. Merkel also said the EU’s closer cooperation with the former Soviet countries isn't directed against Russia, although she warned Moscow that a thinking in influence spheres isn’t an appropriate approach to confront challenges of the 21st century.
She also renewed her criticism of Russia’s annexation of Crimea and the Kremlin’s role in destabilizing eastern Ukraine.
“Not least due to these circumstances is the idea of an Eastern Partnership more important than ever,” she said. “With this, we will continue to support our neighbors on their path toward a democratic society and a society ruled by law.”

Seems THAT is exactly what Putin had in mind when he denied all of those troops, tanks, and weapons on the border. So now. It's just so easy to pretend....like our OBAMA, that all of this is someone else's fault???

I am not accusing anybody. I am just stating the facts. If you want to learn the the subject do get acquainted with the role of the USA in Ukraine to organize and lead a coup and to put illegitimate junta to power.
The general scheme is thoroughly described in Gene Sharp: Author of the nonviolent revolution rulebook. His books are worth to be read.

Here's a little prezzie for Balu, which I'm sure he'll appreciate. Ukraine's 2013 Eurovision entry ...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMxpv8naRd8
You rarely get a really 'marvellous' song on the Eurovision Song Contest, and I don't claim this one was one of the all time 'greats'. Still, it was one of the best offered in the 2013 contest.
And who can tell me that Zlata Ognevich, the singer, managed anything less than a compelling performance ?
[She's a fluent English speaker, by the way.]
Zlata is Russian-born, in Murmansk .. but grew up in Ukraine. She does NOT support Russian actions ! Very naughty of her, eh, Balu .. ?

Five months after the March 2014 annexation of Crimea by Russia, Ognevich called the annexation "a very painful tragedy" and stated that her parents, who continue to live in Crimea, would not obtain Russian citizenship.
During the 2014 pro-Russian conflict in Ukraine Ognevich and fellow Ukrainian singers Anastasia Prikhodko raised money for the 72nd Guards Mechanized Brigade.

Thank you! But we we always have this festivals on our TV programs.
To support or not this is her private matter and her singing has nothing in common with her thoughts as Richard Wagner's music has no in common with his convictions, though Jews have their own opinion on this subject. http://www.kolobok.us/smiles/standart/smile3.gif

To put it another way ... her views, sympathies, and actions in defiance against Russian rule are her choice to make, FREELY.
Here are videos of her singing the Ukrainian National Anthem. Enjoy, Balu !

I do! But poor souls are those in Ukraine who do not share the official stream in this "free country"
Kiev: A prominent Ukrainian journalist known for his pro-Russian views has been shot dead in Kiev by two masked gunmen, the interior ministry said, a day after a former lawmaker loyal to ousted President Viktor Yanukovych was also killed.
Oles Buzina, 45, was known for his pro-Russian opinion pieces published in Ukraine's Sevodnya daily newspaper, which is part of the media empire of Ukraine's richest businessman Rinat Akhmetov. He ran in last year's election for a parliamentary seat for the Russian Bloc party, but was not elected.

Though I don't condone his killing, still ... just how much of an agitator was he ? How much of an anti-Ukrainian propagandist ?
Here's some of what he had to say -
http://www.scribd.com/doc/32814030/OLES-BUZINA-We-have-to-stop-teaching-lies-about-the-Ukrainian-history#scribd
I believe that Ukrainian, Russian and Byelorussian nations are the composing parts of a whole and there should be no specific difficulties unifying them; suchreconciliation comes to be natural and consistent. Ruling over three Eastern Slavic nations would be easier than governing the European Union that consists of nations that speak different languages, don’t understand each other ...
I don’t have any idea why such issues have to be dealt with, proceeding from what do the Western Ukrainian ultra-nationalists think about that. They might think whatever they like; I personally don’t like the fact that Russian language is deprived of the state status in the Ukraine. But I am living with that, isn’t it? I need Russian language as the second state language, but I’m not exploding anything, not killing anyone — I just demand it from the authorities and — being a law-abiding citizen — I want to achieve this goal, acting within the legal framework, of course. Why should we care if some Western Ukrainian radicals would be worried with the Eurasian union-to-be, including Russia, the Ukraine, Byelorussia and Kazakhstan? They will learn to live with that, I suppose.
On the one hand, YES, he has a right to his view (and he seems to want more than just Ukraine closely tied to Russia ..). On the other .. for a country fighting to remain free, with a powerful nation such as Russia snapping at its heels, trying to open doors to take over further swathes of territory .. this must have been like pouring petrol on raging flames.
Ukraine was locked into Russian domination of its affairs when suffering the tyranny of the Soviet Empire. They suffered that for generations. NOW, they want to be free, to determine the order and nature of their own existence, something Putin is working to undermine.
Zlata, like so many of her people, believe in that freedom. Buzina wanted it neutralised. And somebody didn't like that at all.

Adding to my last post ... perhaps I should clarify.
See ...
http://www.kissfm.ua/news/article/3315-pray-for-ukraine-na-kiss-fm-birthday-12.html
... which Zlata was involved with.
From the above site (1st paragraph, in bold ..) ..
KISS FM на своем 12-летии откроет имя автора нашумевшего хита Pray For Ukraine. Этот трек стал настоящим гимном каждого патриота, который переживает за все события, которые произошли за последний год в Украине и на Майдане в Киеве..
... which translates as ...
Kiss FM at its 12 anniversary will open the name of the author of the acclaimed hit Pray For Ukraine. This track became a real hymn to every patriot who cares about all the events that have taken place over the last year in Ukraine and on Maidan in Kyiv.
Zlata Ognevich cares about her country, Balu. She wants it free and independent. She resents the takeover in Crimea .. as do her relatives still living there. AND SHE, LIKE OTHER UKRAINIAN PATRIOTS, HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO THEIR FREEDOM.

And Crimea's folks as well as Kosovo ones HAVE ALSO EVERY RIGHT TO THEIR FREEDOM, though without "democratic" bombing Kiev and civilian casualties.
