Wow Obama really believes we are respected throughout the world, in fact he said we are the most respected Country in the world. President Obama spoke today to a “town hall” gathering at the White House for fellows of his Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2015/06/01/fact-sheet-presidents-young-southeast-asian-leaders-initiative) (YSEALI), which you probably didn’t know about. YSEALI shepherds young Asians from ASEAN countries — people from 18 to 25 years old — through a study and workshop program. There are 70-some fellows in the current group, with 500 total to cycle through in this, the inaugural year of the initiative.
The White House tweeted notification of the event this morning.

I used ta know a buncha folks that spent a large part of their careers workin in Iran, makin all that tax free money and lifelong friends among Iranians, that was when we still had a bit of respect in the middle east.
