Fox’s Bob Beckel Undergoes Addiction Rehab

Over the past several months, Mediaite has produced a handful of posts asking the question: Where is Fox’s The Five co-host Bob Beckel? He was last seen on-air on Monday, February 16, and for many weeks we received immense search traffic from readers looking to find out the liberal pundit’s whereabouts (http://www.mediaite.com/tv/lets-play-a-game-wheres-bob-beckel/).
In our first report (http://www.mediaite.com/tv/where-is-the-fives-bob-beckel/), we noted that Fox told us Beckel was out receiving and recovering from back surgery. However, our own sources at the network indicated there was more to the story, including possible addiction (as cable watchers know well, Beckel is open about his drug history (http://www.mediaite.com/tv/foxs-bob-beckel-and-don-imus-share-their-alcoholdrug-experiences-give-advice/)). And now Fox confirms that there is, indeed, an <nobr>addiction therapy (http://www.mediaite.com/tv/foxs-bob-beckel-undergoes-addiction-rehab/#)</nobr> element to the story after all.
“Bob Beckel has entered a <nobr>rehab facility (http://www.mediaite.com/tv/foxs-bob-beckel-undergoes-addiction-rehab/#)</nobr> for <nobr>treatment (http://www.mediaite.com/tv/foxs-bob-beckel-undergoes-addiction-rehab/#)</nobr> of an addiction to prescription pain medication,” reads the network’s statement on Thursday afternoon. “His relapse developed over the last several months as he tried to cope with extensive back pain before and after he underwent <nobr>major (http://www.mediaite.com/tv/foxs-bob-beckel-undergoes-addiction-rehab/#)</nobr> back surgery. We hope our viewers and the public will respect Bob’s privacy during this difficult time.”

Of course there is a addiction problem, he is a liberal, and liberal is basically a left over hippie. :laugh: All kidding a side I like this guy, he adds to the show a lot and is very truthful ( he talks about a conservative that saved his life ) when he is on the show no telling what is going to come out of his mouth, I hope he gets to feeling better soon.
