I'm on line at Stop and Shop last night, and of course I couldn't help but peek through the candy section. Down bottom, on sale, were these candy bars. They have pecans, caramel & chocolate, I figured how the hell you go wrong? And I didn't! You get 3 "turtles" in each package, and boy were they yummy!

They don't look very much like turtles. I really didn't look til now, I was too busy eating them when I had them. And yes, that's "had".

My belly begs to differ with you!
I think I went from more candy when I was younger and less snacks, then I went a long time with more snacks and very little candy, I think there was one time I went like 8 hours with neither... but I may need to revisit the candy aisle. And soon I'll be revisiting my dentist!

I don't know why, I just started cracking up when I read this. I can picture a marine reading my tales of turtles and twinkies!! It's not ALL garbage. :chocolate:

I used to order pecan turtles for my dad (his favorite candy) online when he was alive. One year they came in a neat, Texas-shaped box that I, to this day, use for a catchall for keys and such on a table in the front hall by the front door.

What about pecan rolls? When I was younger and we would travel to Florida, we would stop at "stuckey's", or as many as we could nag our parents into stopping at. Dunno why, just think of Stuckey's when I think of pecans!
