It said they were looking for groups bringing weapons in from Iran. Why do we go after the groups, Iran will keep getting weapons in there and funding our enemies unless we go in there and do something about it.

I don't understand why it was PREMEDITATED Murder? They did not explain this very well in the article, I don't think?
And the reason the usa didn't notify the prime minister of their actions on that raid is because the usa obviously does not TRUST him and those in power that surrounds him to not notify the areas that we plan to raid imo.
I'm sorry, but we need to get the heck out of there. The Prime minister doesn't even support us it seems... :(

The Prime minister had actually designated those areas as areas where the US troops were not allowed.

I agree.

Who would support an illegal invasion of their country, and foreign troops murdering their own citizens? Not many, as far as I know. . .

A lot of the ones who say on TV and other media are probably being intimidated in someway by AQ. Iran is the problem here. They are how AQ and other militants are able to get money troops and weapons. If we go into Iran and clean house I think we will be out of Iraq in no time. If you cut off the head the rest of the body will fall.

I have a couple of very good friends who are over there fighting right now. They hav never had someone come up to them and criticize them for being there, they have had a ton of people come up and hug them in tears thanking them. You dont realize how it was over there before. We have given those people life and freedom, which every person deserves.

Of course not, that's not something any sane person would do to a trigger happy soldier with a gun.

Reads like a typical liberal article. Two soldiers charged with murder, but no info given on what happened, just make the military look bad. The military makes raids and supposedly maliki isn't happy. Again they were vague because he was talking about iraqi special forces and other troops acting on their own. Any actions by our troops are done under orders from their commanders. maliki is just trying to appease sadr.
There was also lots of unrelated news to this article like the mass grave found. How many US troops have died since the start of the war. How many iraqis were killed today in other areas. Just another piss poor graduate of liberal journalism.

There are plenty of other articles out there on this story that you would prolly like better. Either way they are supected of killing these guys and then planting weapons on the bodies which is where I would think the pre-meditation part comes in.

You have to realize 99% of the media is Liberal with a negative agenda against President Bush and the war. They will misprint, mislead the readers and twist words around. Then they interview one or two Iraqi's who say they don't want us there and print that the Iraqi's don't want us there. Like I said before, most of the Iraqi's who have said publically that they don't want us there have been threatned in some way or another by AQ or other militant groups.

I do realize how it was over there. However, the situation NOW has deteroirated to a point where the country is in total chaos. Civil services are non existent, and the government has no authority, seemingly. The Constitution is being influenced way too much by Sharia law, which gives women far lesser rights than socialist Saddam gave them. Overall, the situation was better before. . .

Name calling and insults are unnecessary. It seems I get called the most number of names on the Forum, simply for making a simple statement.

Most Iraqis Favor Immediate U.S. Pullout, Polls Show
BAGHDAD, Sept. 26 -- A strong majority of Iraqis want U.S.-led military forces to immediately withdraw from the country, saying their swift departure would make Iraq more secure and decrease sectarian violence, according to new polls by the State Department and independent researchers.
In Baghdad, for example, nearly three-quarters of residents polled said they would feel safer if U.S. and other foreign forces left Iraq, with 65 percent of those asked favoring an immediate pullout, according to State Department polling results obtained by The Washington Post.
Another new poll, scheduled to be released on Wednesday by the Program on International Policy Attitudes at the University of Maryland, found that 71 percent of Iraqis questioned want the Iraqi government to ask foreign forces to depart within a year. By large margins, though, Iraqis believed that the U.S. government would refuse the request, with 77 percent of those polled saying the United States intends keep permanent military bases in the country.
The stark assessments, among the most negative attitudes toward U.S.-led forces since they invaded Iraq in 2003, contrast sharply with views expressed by the government of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. Last week at the United Nations, President Jalal Talabani said coalition troops should remain in the country until Iraqi security forces are "capable of putting an end to terrorism and maintaining stability and security."
"Only then will it be possible to talk about a timetable for the withdrawal of the multinational forces from Iraq," he said.
Recent polls show many Iraqis in nearly every part of the country disagree.
"Majorities in all regions except Kurdish areas state that the Multi-National Force-Iraq (MNF-I) should withdraw immediately, adding that the MNF-I's departure would make them feel safer and decrease violence," concludes the 20-page State Department report, titled "Iraq Civil War Fears Remain High in Sunni and Mixed Areas." The report was based on 1,870 face-to-face interviews conducted from late June to early July

That may be true, but the Iraqis are also fighting amongst themselves. Thi type of widescale secretarian violence did not occur under Saddam. . .
Was Saddam perfect? Not by a long freaking shot, and an immoral, awful dictator to boot; but overall, I think the country was doing better under him than it is now.
