I have friends in the Amarillo-Canyon area. The Big Texan is a fun place. I had a much smaller ribeye which was excellent and I also got to try rattlesnake-also very tasty.

`I never had R-snake....had opportunity but didn't try....OK...does it really taste like chicken?

Will eat almost anything-thing to survive....But if I don't have to....its ok...:)

I guess chicken is the closest approximation. Texture is actually lighter. I enjoyed it. I also tried gator once. Small ones are very tasty. I am always open to new gods. Weirdest thing I ever tried was kumis - fermented mares milk. Think mildly alcoholic yogurt. That was one I can bypass in future.
