So all I kept hearing about was how this show was destroying everyone else in the ratings.
It stars Terrence Howard and Taraji Henson - she was a star in the show 'Person of Interest' before they killed her off last year. Anyway, this show is awesome!
It's about a guy (Howard) who started off small, became a star, and now owns "Empire", which is a company in the music world that signs and manages artists. His ex, who he left in jail to rot and divorced her (Henson), gets out of prison and decides the meddle in the affairs of Empire, as she was the one who gave him the money to start the business. By now, her kids are all fully grown and artists of their own.
Drama, hip hop music, cameos from stars, great acting... if you're a music fan, this is a great show. I started yesterday and am up to episode 5 already. Sadly, the show is only up to episode 12, so I'll be caught up in no time and have to wait like the rest. :(
