Today marks the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz by the Allies in WWII. One of the largest death factories ever uncovered.

I ended up addressing an assembly of students today about my visit to Dachau. The original guest speaker, a concentration camp survivor, was too ill to attend. I think she is now 87.
Anyone who has doubts about man's inhumanity to his fellow man needs to visit and/or learn about the Nazi death camps. It is an unforgettable experience.

I remember talking to a man who testified at the Nuremburg Trials. He was able to stare down some of his former captors.
"I saw death. Every one of them was death. I was happy when they joined the dead and got to face eternal judgement."

On the other side were those who lived around the camps. Many knew what was going on inside. Some witnessed it first hand.
Like in any dictatorial society, there was little you can do about it.

Yesteryear's anti-Semites read Mein Kampf, today's anti-Semites read the Koran. Today's Islamonazis wouldn't need a concentration camp. Could it be that Hitler treated Jews better than the Islamonazis plan to?

Survivors testimonies kept, there soon will be no actual survivors alive. It's important to get their stories.
