Man, I would love to check out those old planes. Especially the ME-109s and P-51 Mustangs. The PBYs are cool too, but not as cool as the fighters.

My Dad will swear to you that the P-51 was the best plane ever! He still tries to find aviation shows all over the south to see the old planes, and more so if the Mustang is there.

Jim. Matter of fact. Your dad is right. They didn't call them Mustangs for nothing. The German's thought they ruled the air for a long time until the P-51 showed up, out manuevered, and their speed with the sharp pilots. That's the plane that won the war in Europe.

Agree on that as well. Loved the look of the Twin Tail, with the pilot centered between the engines. And, THEY WERE Really Fast as well.:laugh:
