NBC omits “God” from Pledge of Allegiance… again

It seems the folks over at Rockefeller Center have a problem with the Almighty.
An astute reader pointed out that NBC has once again omitted God from the Pledge of Allegiance. The omission happened during a commercial promoting the network’s upcoming spy thriller called “Allegiance.” How’s that for a coincidence?
“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands,” a chorus of voices intones in the spot. “One nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

That's my thoughts too. We can't force religion on anyone, but I also don't think they should be able to force changes on what they don't like. Mutual respect will go a lot farther.

This is what truly troubles me, we bend over backwards to say whats the big deal if they are teaching about the Koran we want our kids taught it all, or we have no problem with folks carrying prayer rugs, demanding hair cuts ( or not ) be instituted into the military, we keep bending over backwards for the Muslims and just keep losing ground with Christianity, if ya want it all to be fair ( Lib favorite last words ) then make it fair.

I see it as personally Disrespectful, based on my life, and 30 years of service to people like you who have no concept, or feelings about being dedicated to our nation. Which is why people in uniform take, and swear to a pledge/oath to protect, and defend OUR NATION.
If you have a problem with that. Maybe you should try living in one of the Middle-Eastern nations where they DEMAND that you obey their rules, or your head soon becomes separate from your Disrespectful body.

Couple thoughts...

Christians like to get offended as much as Muslims - however with far less-fatal consequence.

I don't give a crap about the pledge, nor its insistence the country is somehow aligned with or in-agreement with God.

When being lead in the pledge, the wrong tempo annoys the hell out of me.

The pledge is a lie. Our nation IS Divisible - see also: Barrack Obama. Our nation HAS no liberty and justice for ALL. Liberty and Justice are reserved for those who toe the line with The State or popular opinion.
