Or maybe they just want a car that works, actually I Give the president some credit here, it seems like he is realizing his way is worn out ( of course we know it never got off the ground, all that hope and change ) but I do believe this is the first time I heard him say he takes responsibility. To some degree I think he is right the American people are ready for a change, and we will all start to hear all the new lies told by those wanting the job, man it would be nice to actually have someone tell you what they want to do, believe it and do it.

That's what President Obama says the American people want, admitting Sunday that the country is ready to shift gears and hit the gas with a new leader.
"I think the American people, you know, they're going to want that new car smell," Obama said in an interview that aired Sunday on ABC's "This Week." "You know, they want to drive something off the lot that -- that doesn't have as much mileage as me."
After taking responsibility for his party's sweeping defeat (http://www.cnn.com/2014/11/09/politics/obama-responsibility-midterms/) in the midterm elections, the President now says that he is aware that his brand has lost some of its luster.
"When you've been president for six years, you know, you've got some dings," Obama said. "You know, they're probably not going to be looking at me to campaign too much."
