`A sun spot facing Earth (http://www.examiner.com/topic/earth) sent a powerful X-Class solar flare (http://www.examiner.com/topic/solar-flare) reeling at Earth yesterday and “we sure did feel the impact.” The huge sun spot has astronomers excited because it is like “looking down the barrel of a solar gun,” reports the Discovery Channel (http://news.discovery.com/space/powerful-x-class-solar-flare-hits-earth-causes-radio-blackout-141025.htm)on Oct. 26.
Saturday’s was the biggest of the two solar flares sent the Earth’s way, with Friday’s flare also being quite large. On Friday a radio “black-out” was reported across the side of the Earth facing the sun, which included most of the U.S.......`
*Scientists expect that if CMEs do take aim at Earth, they will do so in the next few days
