Just watching FOX and they have reported that US and five arab countries have launched air strikes and cruise missiles into syria against ISIS. It's expected the attacks will last for days.
Note, all the countries committing to the air strikes are arab. The usual allies, Britain and France are not joining us. I guess the imam in the white house only wants fellow muslims.

What I like about this kind of story is they don't have commercials, at least at FOX. Latest from FOX is that apparently syria is not doing anything to stop the air attacks. And it seems Turkey is finally stepping up and letting the US use their bases.

Still can't see, or understand how Obama can say NO BOOTS ON THE GROUND.

Hey, guys, I heard they are using the Stealth Raptor F-22 for these strikes. Finally!
Still can't see, or understand how Obama can say NO BOOTS ON THE GROUND.
What's one more lie? Nothing to King Barry. And he has two+ more years of lies to tell. The only wonder is....that there's still someone out there that actually believes what he says.

I think we should have left this group alone. It's just wrong to go into another country meddling. They should be left alone to continue planning to attack us. :huge rolling eyes sarcastic smiley:
Several hours after the Pentagon announced the airstrikes against Islamic State targets, U.S. Central Command said American warplanes launched eight airstrikes "to disrupt the imminent attack plotting against the United States and Western interests" by a network of "seasoned al-Qaida veterans" — sometimes known as the Khorasan Group — who have established a haven in Syria. It provided no details on the plotting.

Why do we need "boots on the ground" when reconnaissance, military intelligence and strategic airstrikes can do more damage?
You guys need to stop fighting past wars and step into the future.

That's exactly the same words, and thinking Obama uses. Keep thinking that way gabby. Let us know when you can explain why AIRSTRIKES alone....Didn't Work because YOU, and Obama wouldn't listen to the professionals in uniform, and decided that POLLS are much more effective...40 days before an ELECTION.

Yep, we ended WW2 BY AIRSTRIKES ALONE... Korea, Vietnam ......
Wait a minute we didn't did we?
In fact, no nation has been conquered by airstrikes alone nor has any army been defeated by airstrikes alone.

I don't know about France .. though the news that they've just had a French person killed by ISIS might make them think again ! - but, where Britain is concerned, the expectation is that we'll join in fairly shortly.
The UK Parliament is being recalled this coming Friday to sanction airstrikes from British forces. See ...
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2767277/RAF-jets-bombing-jihadis-weekend-Cameron-signs-military-action-against-ISIS-militants.html
Parliament is set to be recalled on Friday for MPs to vote on launching air strikes on Islamic State fanatics in northern Iraq.
David Cameron is today holding talks in New York with his Iraqi counterpart Haider al-Abadi, who is expected to make a formal request for help.
MPs are expected to be summoned for an emergency session debate in the Commons on Friday morning to approve the action, with British Tornado bombers in action by the weekend.
Defence Secretary Michael Fallon said Britain had to take the fight to the extremists – and suggested bombing raids should be extended to IS strongholds in Syria.
Mr Fallon told the Spectator magazine: 'We've had attacks on the streets of London, on our transport system, at Glasgow Airport, the murder of Lee Rigby – how much more evidence do you need that this is a very clear and dangerous threat to our way of life and to all the democracies of the West.
'This is a new Battle of Britain.
'Iraq is under attack not just from terrorists inside its own borders but from terrorists in the north of Syria.
'If Syria continues to be unwilling or unable to deal with IS then at least the question arises as to whether we shouldn't assist Iraq in doing so.'
Downing Street remains nervous about Labour's stance on the issue after Ed Miliband yesterday called for a UN resolution sanctioning military action against IS.
A British source pointed out there had already been two resolutions condemning IS – with a third expected today on the issue of foreign jihadis. But the source said there was no prospect of a resolution on military action because of Russian opposition.
However, today Mr Miliband insisted his party was 'open to the possibility' of UK forces joining air strikes in Iraq but would not commit in advance of seeing detailed proposals.
He said he would 'look very seriously' at any proposal to meet a request from Iraq for British involvement, but action in Syria was a 'more complex' question.
So, some dithering and some degree of hand-wringing from our own Lefties (how typical). But, a determination from our Conservatives that military action must be taken without further delay.

Bottom line is. Our pretender-in-chief is afraid to offend, or insult any of HIS friends, but has no problem offending FORMER allies who no longer trust us, or HIM.
I fear that France, and Great Britain will find they must wait until the EXACT moment when the outcry of their population becomes louder than the Political Rhetoric and Appeasement of the Muslim people...taking over those two nations.
In other words. Sad to say. What was formerly the most Respected, and Feared nation in the World..The USA; no longer has what anyone calls, or considers a REAL LEADER anymore.
Politics, and Elections will determine whether someone living in the WHITE HOUSE grows a pair, and decides the safety of his TWO DAUGHTERS is more important than Impressing Our known enemies...Both Foreign, and Domestic...as in Democrat Congressional members.
