The original post comprised of several hundred repeating words all hyperlinked to the one address. It was designed to funnel internet searches to that site.

Safe to say that it was a spammer.

When my husband was in college, they built a web site for a business project. Through some bit of internet trickery, spammers and hackers were directed to an address that signed them up for gay porn.
