A mayor in eastern France has taken a principled stance by refusing to give licences to two dangerous dogs named 'Itler' and Iva' because they obviously "make you think of Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun", he said.

That's just stupid. Europeans are so paranoid. Banning a name is just what Hitler would do.

I hear ya, but at the same time we didn't get our asses kicked by the Nazi's.

So I kinda get that too.

The French have gotten their asses kicked by anyone that has wanted to. Their appeasement crap has permeated Western policy for a century. If Hitler had been stopped when he started, WWII would NEVER have cost what it did. Same thing's going on now with ISIS. Perfect correlation. Lots of talk, little action, and no one willing to commit to what it takes to take them out NOW. We wait until it costs 100 times as much in the terms of lives and materiel because everyone has to draw 20 lines in the sand first. Everyone thinks our CinC is a muslim or some such crap. I think he'd make a perfect Frenchman.

Censoring a name isn't going to kill an ideal. Usually, it has just the opposite effect.

Nah, someone has a program, they use these programs to create mass accounts and posts on forums all over the place. Or it's possible it was a solo act. Either way, this person joined and immediately started spamming links, all in Chinese no less!! So, this person made it clear that they are A-OK with spam. With that in mind, I did my neighborly duty and assisted them in getting some spam. :)
