Woody, Minnie, Statue of Liberty Arrested in Times Square After Asking for Tips: NYPD
Woody, Minnie Mouse and the Statue of Liberty were all arrested in Times Square after they allegedly asked tourists to pay for pictures, the NYPD says.
The people portraying the characters were all cuffed on aggressive solicitation charges after a run-in with a family of tourists Wednesday night.

Didn't include the link - lol!
Sorry, I was having trouble embedding a photo. Some photo's don't embed here, is there something odd with the code? I've never had trouble embedding photo's on a VBulletin platform.

How are you trying to place them in the post? Ensure prior to posting that the [IMG} and [/IMG} tags are around the link to the image. Of course I just changed the brackets so you could see what I mean.

I went to the tree lighting at Rockefeller Center a few years back. As we were walking into the square, damn Santa Claus pops out of nowhere and takes our picture and wants money for it. I just grabbed the woman and kept on walking. I wasn't gonna pay that bastard when he's trying to sneak people like that! Not much different than the window washers who appear like magic on your window and now you gotta tip them. Well, most do, I roll up my window and turn on the wipers and washers too! :)

NYC is a hard place to do anything these days. I believe I read somewhere, not long ago. How those characters were threatening tourists who wouldn't pay the high prices they were asking to be photographed. So, the city told them they had to get a license to solicit for money with photo's.
Calling this POLICE BRUTALITY is...kind of unfair, and not true. When people break the law. The police have to enforce it. Anyone who disagree's with the laws, and disobey's the laws are not victims of Brutality...Are they? Really?

I know, it was kind of a joke.

I use the icon function to post a pic after "copy image location" on the pic.
I know that many of the pics are now coded to not "host" and you get this douchy "no free hosting" thing instead, I think I can recognize that coding and I don't use those.
But when it's xxxxx.jpg format or whatever it usually works with the pic icon, I'm on a couple other VBulletin forums and never had that problem. Here it's happened several times, instead of the pic posting I get just the code line like - xxx.jpg
edit: including the "http" prefix. Can we tag people here like @jimnyc ? I'll leave the coding up next time it happens for forensics and tag you on it.
edit: ixne on the tagging, it's a cool feature if you want to check into it.

Just shoot me a PM with a link or SHOUT real loud and I'll see it... The board software 'should' automatically convert all links. It's hard for me to guess at why this has happened a few times without me seeing the post with the image. We post pictures all the time on here, no issues. Not to say that something can't be working right. But so long as the tags are correctly placed, and the image is live, there shouldn't be any issues.

Baba. If I may offer some help here. You must also show where the '.jpg' or ".gif" is located, as in a directory, or in your provider where all of your photo's, and documents are stored.
EXAMPLE You should see "http://yourname.com/images/myphoto.jpg" in order for the system to search for, find, and display your photo. Much like the links have an INTERNET address.
HTTP stands for HyperText Transfer Protocol, and the lines [ ] around the IMG open and close [/] to make it appear.
Hope this helped

Correct, but I did point that out that I was including that in a later paragraph as to avoid this confusion.

I think it's the + signs that it doesn't like, and probably the server and not vBulletin.
Here is the same picture but from Imgur and no + signs:

I thought maybe the asterisk.
Thanks! I'll know now to just take the signs out.

I didn't see that, could have been the asterisk as well, I'm really not sure. I've had a tiny bit of issues in the past year with lightspeed on the server, and it doesn't like certain characters, the : being the worst of all! But 99.9% of the time you should just be able to pop in a link and put the IMAGE tags around it and be ok. Leave it to the NY bastards to put in a lot of weird "characters". :)
