A terrifying and disgusting story is unfolding in the city of Rotherham in northern England. Some 1400 children have been sexually abused, tortured and trafficked over the last 16 years, all while the authorities simply turned a blind eye to the problem.
Why did the police, social services and local government all ignore the horrors that were happening right under their noses, even as the children and families complained about the crimes?
Because… the liberals who lead Rotherham were “worried” about being called racists or “destabilizing” the local community.

I remember when this story first surfaced about a year ago and the only ones mentioned we the five arrested and a couple of girls. seems it has grown considerably since then. This is what political correctness will get you in the long run, rape, death and misery.

The gorilla in the room is not only sleeping with the daughter. He's visiting all the other houses on the street and being called a cute little monkey.

And the Brits need to learn the difference between Asian and middle eastern.

Perhaps the authorities thought the perpetrators were Catholic priests and threw it under the rug with the rest of the abuse cases.

Gabby is, of course, being completely ridiculous.

No, this is a case which highlights how scared everyone in Rotherham, and elsewhere in Socialist strongholds, is of being branded racist .. and of where it leads.

The perpetrators were of Asian origin .. Pakistani, I understand .. and because of their race, those who were in a position to act, failed to. What we have here is Socialist political correctness taken to such an extreme that the fear of being branded racist trumped every other concern, including the most basic standard of decency imaginable.

So, these abuses were overlooked, swept under the carpet, whatever it took to escape the 'racist' tag, because, in a Socialist State, right and wrong are subordinate to the political climate that Socialists insist everyone obeys.

There are growing calls for resignations over the failure to act on reports of child sex abuse in Rotherham.

One of those being urged to go is Shaun Wright - South Yorkshire's Police and Crime Commissioner and the man who was in charge of children's services at Rotherham council for five years.

An inquiry found that children as young as 11 were raped, abducted, trafficked and beaten.

Shaun Wright told the BBC he took his responsibilities very seriously but would not stand down.

Wright was a member of the Labour Party, but after the scandal broke, Labour turned on him. Rather than submit to their authority, and take his share of responsibility, he resigned his membership of them, BUT is clinging on to his job.

Even Theresa May has called for his resignation (though unfortunately she lacks the power to arrange it ..)

Home Secretary Theresa May has said that South Yorkshire's Police and Crime Commissioner Shaun Wright should "heed calls to resign".

The police commissioner has vowed to stay in the job despite calls for him to quit over child abuse in Rotherham.

An inquiry found at least 1,400 children in the town were sexually exploited by predominantly Asian criminal gangs between 1997 and 2013.

Shaun Wright was the Labour councillor in charge of children's services at Rotherham Council from 2005 to 2010.

Mr Wright told the BBC the scale of the problem in Rotherham had "come as a surprise".

Wright is pleading ignorance of the whole thing, doing his utmost to cling to his job .. in defiance of everyone's feelings on the matter.

... in theory, yes. But in a Socialist State, appearances are everything. Decency goes out of the window, and warped political correctness trumps everything else.
