Yep, they're awake now and roaming around. Ft. Rich / Elemendorf AFB are right on the edge of Anchorage.
She got off pretty easy, considering it could have easily killed her. Looks like the bear roughed her up a bit and wandered off after she surprised it with her cubs.
Mama bears are pretty aggressive when surprised with cubs.
One thing people forget to do when out in the woods is to yell every now and then so the bears know you're coming so they know you're coming and will get out of your way... given a choice, 99.5% avoid humans.
