This isn't going to end well for Ukraine.
My thoughts are that the agitators are being directed by Putin and we're going to see another part of Ukraine annexed by Russia.
Putin is using the excuse of "protecting Russian citizens as the excuse to roll in troops... pretty blatant, but again, there's no one to stop him.
The activists shouted "Donetsk is a Russian city" and raised Russian flags above the building.
Some called for the region to have a referendum on the region's independence from Ukraine.
A similar referendum held in the Crimean peninsula in March led to Russia's annexation.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has vowed to protect Russian-speaking people in eastern Ukraine.
Pro-Russia protests also took place in other eastern cities on Sunday.
Dozens of demonstrators stormed the offices of the Ukrainian state security agency in Luhansk.
