49 degrees and sunny yesterday here!
I just don't know how you East Coasters can put up with all that cold, dreary weather...

I don't have any snow in my yard, believe it or not! It's been a weird winter and I haven't even been on my sled yet.

Saturday
HIGH/LOW
27°/18°

Heaviest snow accumulation in 2 weeks Saturday night.
Some remnant flurries from Friday night's light snow to start the day. Becoming partly sunny during the forenoon - then increasing cloudiness during the afternoon. Highest temperatures in the middle to upper 20s with gusty northwest winds 12 to 22 mph. Snow likely by evening -- continuing overnight with total accumulations 3 to 6-inches possible by the pre-dawn hours Sunday morning.
Oh and last night, windchill was -23 below 0, again. Sigh.

YET ??? We or shall I say I , are ready for spring here, how late in the year is it normal to see snow up there NT ?

Yeah, everything swoops down from Canada, hits you guys and then makes its way over to us! But damn, you can keep the -23!!!

Snow is forecast here today. Or maybe freezing rain. My elderly neighbor across the street had a new snow thrower delivered. We made an agreement that if he buys one, I'd use it to clear his driveway and mine.

Quitcherbitchin' Jim.
I would take snow over sub-sub-sub zero temps like this past ... I dunno, 6 friggin' months!
Granted I don't know where any more snow will go in our lot at work either. Right now we have what seems to be a mini-mountain range in the making along our back lot...

I hear you. Avg temp since Dec 1 here, has been 18 F. Most of this week is below freezing and more snow predicted for Wednesday. :(

We were forecast variously for 6"-10" or 8" to 12" yesterday, and ended up getting only a paltry 2". Honestly, I was disappointed.

my sister headed back to Finland on Sat. They've had less snow and it's been warmer there this winter.
Just keep repeating that old saying about March.....in like a lion out like a lamb.
If that fails I'll just dream about my up coming vacation :mm:

Thanks, but I like to see it falling first! Plus, it wouldn't be "local snow", and that's just not Kosher.
It was suppose to be 65 tomorrow ( it is cold today ) but they have now turned it back to 55 tomorrow ( cold but better than snow  ) and then we have 2 days of freezing temps but on Saturday the temps are suppose to be 72 and 75 on Sunday  I hear a distinct rumble coming this weekend :thumb:

Oh, usually about April or so. This year I think we're going to have a March spring, maybe early April.
I'm ready for it!

NT I can't think of a prettier place to wanna live but that long ass winter scares me.
ON another note have you ever seen that show BUYING ALASKA ( it has quickly become one of my favorite shows ) Man what a show, some of these people have no way into there homes but by float plane or snow mobile ( talk about being in the boonies ) but what beautiful views. Living in Alaska may not be for everybody but there is no doubt it has to be one of the prettiest places to live.

As Jeff says, Alaska has pretty going for it. Chicagoland now? Today 1-3" will fall between 5:30am and 8:30am, can anyone say a 4 hour commute, if you're not involved in an accident?
