Kentucky Senator Rand Paul is taking the battle over our protected freedoms to court. He is joining a lawsuit against the Obama administration regarding the NSA collection of phone data on every American.
Senator Paul is filing the lawsuit along with Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli and the FreedomWorks organization. He is hoping to gain ten million plaintiffs and expects the case to go all the way to the Supreme Court.
Rand Paul asks a very important question: Do we no longer have a Fourth Amendment, which prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures? He explains, “I am filing a lawsuit against President Barack Obama because he has publicly refused to stop a clear and continuing violation of the 4th Amendment. The Bill of Rights protects all citizens from general warrants.”
Violating our Constitution seems to have become common place for this president, as we've seen, for example, with his repeated unilateral changes to ObamaCare.
I'm glad someone in Washington is willing to stand up for our Constitution, our freedoms and the rule of law. He needs to be impeached and dues all to hell and back.-Tyr
