I wasn't sure if I wanted to put this in humor, or current events. But I don't think he should have been arrested.

Fargo, ND – Local resident Todd Fox has been detained for “reckless endangerment” and “illegal use of high-powered fire-breathing weaponry” for attacking snow with his flamethrower. Fox reportedly became so fed up with the week-long blowing snow epidemic in his area that he decided to KILL IT WITH FIRE.

The neighborhood was treated with quite a show last night as Fox unleashed an inferno upon the mountainous snow palace that was his front yard. Neighbors to his immediate right and left noticed a bright orange cloud and could hear what they thought was “puff the magic dragon spewing mayhem all over hell,” which prompted one of them to notify police.

Fox stated that he was simply “fed up with battling the elements” and that he did not possess the willpower necessary to move “four billion tons of white bull shit.”

Police say that Fox surrendered his efforts immediately upon their arrival and that his front yard “looked like a hydrogen bomb had gone off.” They think he was just happy to be done with snow removal, even if it did mean a trip to jail.

Something I would do! I have mixed emotions on this one. I think it all depends on where he was. If he was in his backyard, clearing off his back porch... But what if he was in the public road or sidewalk, and a kid was curious about the flames and came up behind him, and through a stroke of bad luck he ends up getting burned? They did say his lawn looked like a "hydrogen bomb" had went off.

But I do give him an A for his effort!

I'm curious though, if legal to own, surely there are limits to where and how it could be used? Damn though, would love to toy around with one of those for awhile. But I nearly burnt down my upstairs from one stinking candle, imagine what I would do with one of these suckers?

I believe. Jimmy Carter made FLAME THROWERS illegal back in the 70's. Somewhere around 1978.

Oddly enough. I just happened to read this on a TV program called PAWN STARS. A man tried to sell a WWI flame thrower, but it was in terrible shape. A note appeared on the screen about Carter.

So. I do believe. The man may have had innocent, good intentions. But FLAME THROWERS were banned, and appear to be Federally Illegal.

I'm pretty sure that around the 4th time your dad cleared our driveway last week, he would have thought this was a GREAT idea. :laugh2:
