As most of you know I unschool my children.....about 4 days ago I came across this article

Children’s services would then make a recommendation for or against the excuse from compulsory school attendance.

Needless to say I was livid....how dare you try to pass a law interfering in my right as a parent to choose how my child is educated!
I went and signed the petition to stop this bill.
I had also started drafting a letter to Senator Cafaro. This ended up not being necessary. There was such an uproar about this bill from parents who homeschool and unschool that the senator found her common sense and withdrew the bill.

Sen. Capri Cafaro, D-Hubbard, announced her decision to pull Senate Bill 248, also known as Teddy’s Law, late Thursday.
Then today, I came across this post from Libertarian Homeschooler on Facebook……
Dear Ohio Home Educators,
Word on the street is you put the kibosh on that ridiculous proposed homeschool law with all due speed and efficiency. I think Smackdown is how it's being described. Thank you for delivering said smackdown and being awesome.
We have some other liberty projects we'd like you to tackle. Perhaps you are familiar with the NSA?
